How do flexible dentures stay in without metal clasps?
A flexible denture is a partial made from a thin, pliable nylon material (the Valplast and Myerson type) rather than rigid acrylic or metal. Instead of metal clasp arms, it has gum-coloured flexible clasps built into the denture itself, which clip gently around your natural teeth to hold it in place.
Because those clasps are the same colour as your gums and there is no metal on show, a flexible denture is one of the most discreet ways to fill a gap. It flexes slightly as you eat and speak, which many people find comfortable.
Flexible is at its best as a partial denture, especially for a small gap such as a lost canine or premolar where a clasp can sit neatly to one side. It is not the right tool for every case, but with our experience we will always steer you towards the right choice for you, even when that is chrome or acrylic rather than flexible.

What flexible dentures cost
Flexible partials are priced to your case, so we give you an exact figure at your free consultation rather than a headline number that may not apply to you.

From impression to fitted
Impressions and shade
We take impressions of your teeth and match the tooth and gum shades, so the denture blends in around your natural teeth.
Try-in and refine
You see and try the set-up before it is finished, so you can approve the look and how the clasps sit.
Finish and fit
We complete the denture in flexible nylon and fit it, checking that it clips in comfortably and holds without pinching.
